George made Michigan news headlines in the winter of 2014 when he and friends stayed for 48 hours In an IHOP in his hometown of Haslett, Michigan. Though the record has since been broken, he maintains a lifetime discount at all IHOP restaurants nationwide. Here at U of M, George studies philosophy, politics and economics, and is interested in the modern age family structure, especially where politics and philosophy intersect. George comes from a background of singing and performing from a young age, and joined the Lyres as a freshman in the fall of 2015.
